What personal data we collect and why
Contact and consultation requests
When you contact us, request a security review, or book a consultation through this website, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, business email address, company name, phone number, and the content of your message. We use this data to respond to your enquiry, prepare and deliver our services, and maintain our business relationship with you.
Legal basis: performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs
Our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical data when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser user agent, requested pages, and timestamps. We use this data for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and operational (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics tools on this website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
For a full list of cookies used on this website, their purposes, and their lifetimes, see our Cookie Policy.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, booking widgets, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
How long we retain your data
- Contact and enquiry data: retained for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus applicable statutory retention periods under Dutch law.
- Server logs: retained for 90 days.
- If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
- For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive an exported copy, including any data you have provided to us
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
Erasure requests do not extend to data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@zybrstate. We will respond within one month.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, consistent with the nature of the data and our own professional security practice.
